We have a nice 9 race card today that is headlined by the Garland of Roses in race 8. We have a great day of racing throughout the US and will be a fun afternoon! Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Finger Lakes invaders make up most of this field and the have a shot. All of them come here at this time of the year for a chance at a bigger pay day. I’m leaning on one of them to mow them down late. Even though (1) BUSTIN THE RULES gets the 10lbs bug advantage, he’ll carry a lot more weight of getting Olver her 2nd win of her career. Bustin cutsback to this 6F and Madison will sit chilly and mount their charge turning for home. Most in here back up through the stretch so they should pick them off one by one close to home.
(2) DEE BO or (4) CASALSA to fill in the exacta for me.

We’ll also use (1) BUSTIN THE RULES in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(2) Good Skate and(7) Voliero like to stalk and come with a run late. One of them should make it interesting late in the 4th.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
I can’t fault the favorite, (4) WHO HOO THAT’S ME in this 7F sprint for NY Breds. A good 2nd in the Hudson should have him on his toes vs this group. A must use and a possible single if you want to cut down on your bankroll. I will use a couple more a savors. (7) EXCELLENT TIMING is the speed of the speeds and he’s been facing this level already. All the other speeds are jumping up to this class level and that’s never an easy task. He’ll try to wire this group. With a decent amount of speed entered, I’m drawn to (3) BREW PUB as the wise guy and is a must use. He doesn’t win often but has hit the board in half of his starts. I think he found a field that will back up to him though the stretch. The demanding 7F distance takes its toll after battling each other most of the way. He’ll have trouble with Who Hoo’s A game so we’re looking for that one to have an off afternoon. At 12:1ML, he’s worth every penny.

Race 8:
(5) SMASH TICKET is the filly to beat as she cuts back and drops slightly for Atras. She can stalk or go depending on the break. I like the new face in this division. (7) BEGUINE. She was making noise at the beginning of her career and the summer was not good for her. She posted a strong figure when she shipped in here last time and looks primed for a big effort. Davis picks up the mount. I’ll include the best closer in here using (1) BETSY BLUE as a savor. She faced some good fillies in her last two and has been recording some high seed figures.

Race 9:
The morning lines on these firsters are telling me that there isn’t a lot of chatter about them. Therefore, I can’t see past the three that will take most of the action. (3) QUICK CHAOS took money in two tries this summer and at least hit the board both times. The layoff is the only negative for me. I prefer (6) WHAT’S UP BRO in this spot as this Dialed In ran awkwardly in his debut and now gets some extra distance to mount a late charge. Lezcano can settle him down the back stretch and let him loose turning for home. (5) LITTLE LUCA came out running last time and I’m expecting the same style today. If they leave him alone, they will have a tough time reeling in.
