Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Dark Money figures to take the money in this 6F sprint but he faces open company today and I’m looking elsewhere. (2) BELLE TAPISSERIE faced slightly better last time and it wasn’t the cleanest trip. He wasn’t winning but could have been closer. Prior to that, he shipped in and beat up cheap claimers similar to what we have here. The move to Davis is key as well as his bullet work on the 15th. He’ll likely follow Dark Money’s move and hopefully Davis times it right.
$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00
We’ll use him with (1) Dark Money and (3) Smile Bryan underneath
$ 7.00 Exacta 2 w/ 1, 3 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Belle Tapisserie in a DAILY DOUBLE play.
Both (4) Daria’s Angel and (8) Customerexperience look solid in the 4th
$ 7.00 Double 2 w/ 4, 8 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
Rudy has two entered but I prefer (7) GIOCARE of the two. His stable mate will help with the pace to set up his closing kick. If you draw a line through his PARX race, all three races at the Big A would be good enough today.(6) SUPER JOHN is the sleeper. His pp’s looks like he’s all in or up the track recently. Vasquez is spotty these days but John’s cycle shows today’s the day to run. I landed on the Atras runner (4) AIR ATTACK. He should some of his old self when he ran first time out for this barn. He won this race last year and Franco gives him another shot.
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 4, 7 w/ 4, 6, 7, 10 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
(2) ZOOMER is on some kind of roll and now moves into the Rice barn. She sticks with Davis who has been handling him during this run. I’m expecting more of the same and is a must use. What’s interesting is Franco and Gomez swap geldings and I’ll follow Franco’s move. (1) PRINCE JAMES figures to get first jump on Zoomer and will have to hold that one off. I think they are up to the task and I’ll use this guy on top. (5) REPO ROCKS exits two G3 sprints and didn’t run that bad. Either one of his Aqueduct races last year puts him right there today.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 1, 2 w/ 1, 2, 3, 5 Cost $ 18.00
Race 10:
Some hard nosed claimer to finish the card. (4) DIRECT ORDER has faced better and only needs to Re-Pete his Feb 22nd win to take this. Easier said then done. Favorite, (10) NO SALT, drops for this easier spot and is the horse to beat. It’s an odd move so I don’t completely trust him 100%. We’ll use defensively horizontally. I like the stalker, (7) MAGNETRON in this spot. Falcone takes over for this guy who already is in form. If he improves off his recent runs, they all are in trouble. (1) BINKSTER and (1A) MI TRES POR CIENTO make up a nice one two punch. On their best day, either can top this field.
