The weather looks perfect for a Friday action at Beautiful Belmont Park. We have 9 races and have you covered on all of them. I will be condensing my plays to just the number and will be taking down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 (Races 4-6) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's Early Double:
Race 1:
(1) Song Parody is a horse that I really like in here with the group of firsters. This horse had a nice breezing from the gate last month and I think a good break makes all the difference in this one. I trust Jose Ortiz to have this horse in position late to win this one. (4) Gambling Girl looks too good on paper with that pedigree and the workouts leading in; I will be including. (5) Recognize is my last play in here who I think will be the strongest horse late. Lezcano will allow this horse to find her footing early and I think the stretch drive will be impressive.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 1,4,5 Cost: $12.00
Race 2:
(7) Preposterous will be on the lead early and I think will keep some quick fractions in here, which opens this race up late to the closers.(2) Rheaume is a good horse and had a very nice performance against winners last time out; a must play for me. (3) New Ginya was off slow last time out and I think with a better break will be the toughest horse in this race. My top selection in here is a huge performance from (4) Masterof The Tunes under Jose Ortiz. I think this horse will be placed on the rail early and wait for the lane to open up late down the stretch.
$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 2,3,4 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
I know it’s Tough to go against Brown as he has three in here but (4) BREEZE EASY has pedigree and the connections to be a good one in the US. She shipped in to just miss at 7F and now stretches out to 1M. Stable rider is call in to seal the deal. We’ll use the three Brown runners underneath.
$ 10.00 Exacta 4 w/ 1, 3, 5 Cost $ 30.00
We’ll also use Breeze Easy in R3 and try to cash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
(2) NY Fancy and (6) Keen Dancer look solid in the 4th
$ 7.00 Double 4 w/ 2, 6 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
Fingal’s Cave looks dangerous in this one after the impressive win on debut, but I don’t think is invincible in this one. Mrs Boomer ran second in (1) Fingal’s Cave last race and was a weak 5th in the first race at Belmont yesterday; what I am getting at is that the debut race might not have been against the crown jewels. With that said, I will only be including (2) Captivating Cara who will be a horse sent towards the front and challenge the heavy favorite to prove the first race wasn’t a fluke.
$5.00 Ex Box 1,2 Cost: $10.00
Race 6:
Chad Brown has two must plays in here with (2) Beachfront Bid and (4) Vagaries. I would not be surprised if they run 1-2 in this one, as I am sure most people will not be surprised of this either. I also like two other in here as well. (1) Chiromante gets the inside post position in this one and had a tough trip in debut but still was able to do some great running late. I think with a more aggressive ride in here that this horse will have a say late. (6) With Bells On showed grit in her last race and I always like a tested horse next time out, especially from the Todd Pletcher barn.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 1,2,4,6 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 1,6 w/ 1,2,4,6 Cost: $6.00
Race 7:
(4) Brazillionaire cuts back in distance and should have his speed on full display in here under Javier Castellano. (5) Vocalize will be sitting right behind that pace and have a great kick come stretch drive under Flavien Prat. (6) GhostlyPrince is the horse that I like to pull the minor upset against this field. Manny will be able to break outside of the pace and find the rail early. I think that this inside rail position coming around the turn will open up and Manny will have plenty of horse left to compete for the wire. (7) Cousin Andrew will need to be included in here as well as the extra furlong and the late closing speed will make this horse extremely difficult late.
$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 4,5,6,7 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 4,7 w/ 4,5,6,7 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
A short field of 3yr old fillies for this G2 and I can’t see past the two favorites.
(1) SHAHAMA had some trouble but no one was catching Secret Oath that day in the Oaks. This gal managed to close the gap and was a respectable 5th. Pletcher has a good one and will be tough to handle today. Cox also has a presence with (5) JU JU’S MAP. She has a major advantage today as possible lone speed. I’m guessing someone has to go with her to have any shot but if they leave her alone, She’s too good setting soft fractions.
$ 7.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 2, 5 Cost $ 28.00
Race 9:
Many exit the same race where Jack The Cat just got up. I’m not a fan of that race so I’ll throw them out. Too slow and cheap runners. I do like the group exiting the race won by (2) BIG AGENDA. They were faster and a more polished group IMO. Atras claimed him and wheels him right back against similar. I want the one who just missed in that race, (10) GRAND JOURNEY. He shipped in and gave Agenda a good fight but came up just short. He may have needed that one as it was his first attempt on grass for over a year and only had one race under his belt this year. Castallano returns and they look to be the danger in here. (8) TAKAFUMI ships in and attracts Jose. He’s hit the board in 9 out of 10 starts on the grass but hasn’t had the type of rider that he gets today. We’’ try to get by with just these three.
$ 7.00 WPS 10 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 2, 10 w/ 2, 8, 10 Cost $ 12.00
Race 10:
(11) WINE GODDESS was looking for turf but had to settle for mud last time. She came late to grab 3rd, but got an education in the process. Jose returns for another lesson and the barn is going good right now. I don’t think we’ll get this 6:1ML. (3) QUICK POWER NAP is coming of a year hiatus after she took money at the Spa and ran to it. The break is concerning but the connections give you confidence that she should be ready. (7) REGAL REBEL is an interesting alternative. She has shown speed, gets back on the turf and cuts back. That’s a lot of positives for a 15:1ML. (8) SUCCULENT is where I landed. Davis rides and Donk is sharp right now. She made up a lot of ground after a clumsy start and a wide trip around the sharp turns at Aqueduct. She’ll appreciate the wide turns here at Beautiful BelmontPark. (14) BUSY MORNING draws in from the AE’s and has the fastest speed figure of this bunch. I have to use as sometimes the AE’s get over looked in the betting.
