Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

Race 1:

We have a nice set of runners in here for the first race. I am going to spread out a bit with four horses. (2) Diamond Hands has some impressive races under her belt and should improve in this one, plus experience is a big bump in these maiden special weights. (7) Longridge Fell was compromised by a slow pace and didn't hit that late kick needed to close strongly in the debut. I think with the added distance the race under her belt this horse will run a much bigger race. (4) Ever Summer has the Rosario/Clement connection and they are deadly in these turf routes. (8) Hatari had a decent debut and was never involved in the race. I think Johnny V will be more aggressive from the gate and allow this horse to find the rail early and find the lane late down the stretch.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 2,4,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 7,8 w/ 2,4,7,8 Cost: $6.00

Race 2:

(5) A Mo Reay is going to be a tough beat in here and Luis Saez will place this horse forwardly throughout and challenge these inexperienced horses to try and catch late. I will include the two insiders for their connections and see if we can get a decent price on them with the short price on (5) A Mo Reay.

$3.00 Ex Box 1,2,5 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

The race goes through (9) CONVICTION TRADE. Saez will set up camp on the front end as this bunch lacks speed. If he clears the rail runner in the 1st furlong, they are all in trouble. The break will tell the tale as it normally does. I’ll use this Exchange Rate on top and look for the two closers, (7) Attentive and (8) Journeyman to past the tiring horses late

$ 10.00 WPS 9 Cost $ 30.00

$ 5.00 Ex 9 w/ 7, 8 Cost $ 10.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 4:

There was a lot of hype last year when (1) ORGLANDES entered the Brown barn and she made a little noise capping off the Red Carpet out West. She hasn’t come back this year with that same kind of following but her last two may start the chatter again. The way her stable mate, Nat ran yesterday, she looks very live today for this 12F marathon. I think 5:2 ML would be a gift for this mare. I’m all in.

$ 10.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 30.00

$ 5.00 Ex 1 w/ 6, 7 Cost $ 10.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

I will go with four firsters in here as they all seem poised to run a big debut. My top pick will be (5) Authorize who has the workouts coming in and we should expect a forwardly run race in here. (2) Nabokov is another firster who is showing up in the morning workouts and will be closing strongly late. (4) Beyond Best is a Pletcher firster who is showing a ton of promise and will have the lane late to show off the pedigree. (7) Gunton Roe is my last play who will be eating up ground late.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 2,4,5,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2,7 w/ 2,4,5,7 Cost: $6.00

Race 6:

(1) Split Then Double has failed as the favorite the last two times out and just has too much promise to leave off the ticket. (6) Suffice is a firster I will give a try for the Rosario/Clement connection again. This horse is going to be strong strong late and if there is an early pace battle I think it benefits this horse the most. (8) InvestmentStrategy is going to run a similar style race in closing fashion waiting for the opportunity to open up. (9) Red Hot and Blue is coming into this one strong and will show a ton of late speed against an unproven field.

$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 8,9 w/ 1,6,8,9 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 1,6 w/ 1,6,8,9 Cost: $6.00

Race 7:

(1) Twisted Tom is getting some class relief in here and has the post position to find the early rail position. I think this horse comes with a late stretch drive and makes it interesting late. (4) Daddy Knows is going to be ridden aggressively throughout and way have the lane to wire this field. My last play will be (8) Hammerin Aamer who is coming into this one off of an impressive win and the workouts look to show that this horse is remaining in good form.

$3.00 Ex Box 1,4,8 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

(1) BUY LAND AND SEE is where I landed as this guy was a budding star early in his career. He then found it hard to get to the race track only managing seven starts in two years. The G3 2021 debut was a good start for better races down the road. They weren’t beating Red that day so I’ll give this Cairo Prince another shot today. (9) ARTEMUS CITYLIMITS is the danger IMO. He almost cleared this level last time and now Saez jumps aboard. They will get first jump on the closers. Maker has another one in here.

(10) CHOCOLATE BAR had an issue in his last so draw a line threw that one. The 7F should help this guy close the gap on the top two. The wise guy pick is (2) DURESS. He was better last year but is showing signs of returning to form. He’ll be a nice price to juice up the exacta or get this late Pick 3 off to a good start.

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 9 w/ 1, 2, 9, 10 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

With Delmar in full swing it seems odd that Baffert ships (1) ROCKEFELLER across the country for this G3 Nashua. But after Corniche’s performance yesterday, this fells as though it may be any easy 150k race to collect some cash. With Johnny V in the saddle to guide him along, this just makes this guy a possible single on most tickets. I won’t argue that but will include another incase the gate doesn’t open up. Pletcher has (4) MIDNIGHT WORKER and Irad. With a few races under his belt, this guy looks primed to enjoy this 1M distance and one turn. With the other runners having some speed, maybe the favorite gets a little leg weary after tangling with them early.

$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00

$ 5.00 Ex 1, 4 w/ 1, 4, 6 Cost $ 20.00

Race 10:

The finale looks very competitive but I narrowed it down to four. (5) STREET VENDER never had a chance to stretch his legs through the stretch until it was too late. Rosario will need to redeem himself and find some clear sailing. I can’t let Brown’s runner (2) INFLATION ADJUSTED go off at 15:1 on the turf. He probably needed one and they choose to debut in the minor leagues to gather some experience. The other Brown I like a little more. First timer (8) RIDLEY’S MAJOR is a Gun Runner with some turf on the Mare side. They would be no surprise to come out running on debut. (6) PARATUS closed well in a blanket finish in his debut. After a bumpy start, he gathered himself and ran on well the rest of the way.

$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 5, 8 w/ 2, 5, 6, 8 Cost $ 18.00
