Closing day at Belmont Park on this picture perfect Sunday and we are excited to improve our bankroll heading into the SPA. We have a 9 race card today and we have you covered on all of them. I will be looking to take down the early double (Races 1-2) and a middle pick 3 (Races 4-6) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

Little Pete's Early Double:
Race 1:
I am not going to overthink this one and go with the heavy favorite in (5) Lady Yellen. Irad should seek the lead and bully anyone who challenges late to hit the wire first.
$10.00 WIN 5 Cost: $10.00
Race 2:
(7) Duress is getting some class relief in this one and we should expect Luis Saez to shoot for the front in this turf sprint and challenge the others to catch him late; the track was playing to speed yesterday and going to assume we will see more of the same conditions. (2) Reux performed well in the States debut with a firm surface and this horse should be getting just that today. Rosario will find the rail early and fan out wide late with a fresh horse. My last play will be (4) Casalsa who is trying grass for the first time but has some speed that will translate well to this firmer surface. Cancel should find the lead from the gate and see what this horse has.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 2,4,7 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Something went wrong two back for (8) EMINENCY as that prompt Rudy to drop him last time. He bounced back with a decent run on the turf where he doesn't belong. They get Big Sandy today and they summon Saez.. Feels like all systems go against a very suspect field.
Both (1) Patrick The Great and (4) Uncle Water Flow lcan pick up the pieces late underneath.
$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 8 w/ 1, 4 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use Eminency in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double play.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 8 w/ 3, 4 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
(9) Mr Nobility from the Clement barn is a must play on grass even if this is a firster. Clement won the finale yesterday with a 10/1 firster in convincing fashion. (4) Splendid Summer is a Pletcher performed well on grass the first two times out and should get back to that form. (2) Media Sensation is my last play with the post position and the early speed. Manny should be aggressive early and let the rail be their friend throughout.
$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 2,4,9 Cost: $12.00
Race 5:
Speed will prevail in this one and I think (3) First to Act will be the winner at the end of this one. We should see (7) Baby Man sent to the front and challenge early in this one, but I don't think is up to the form of (3) First to Act. (4) Wasp is going to run a similar race towards the front and the pedigree is going to love this distance. These three should separate from the field a bit and I think the likely winner is from this group.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 3,4,7 Cost: $12.00
Race 6:
(2) Nevisian Sunrise from the Chad Brown barn is my top pick in here. This horse that the early speed to be forwardly placed and dropping back into a more comfortable field for this horse. (7) Zainalarab will be closing strongly late under Manny Franco and could run 1-2 with here stablemate. (6) King's Harlequin is going to run a similar late closing race with the Rosario/Clement combo and a must play IMO. (5) Miss Dracarys is my last play in here who has enough speed to find a forwardly placed position and Dylan Davis is hungry for the riding crown at Belmont.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,7 w/ 2,5,6,7 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 2,5,6,7 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Clement has two in here but I’ll take the IRE bred over the NY Bred today. (2) EYLARA was gaining in the late stages against a decent runner last time and wheels right back after a year absence. She has the feel of a filly coming into a race in good form. (1) HAIL TO exits a couple of stake races but they too came off of a vacation. She appears well spotted and they switch to Davis for this 11F marathon. Breeding suggests she can run all day. I can’t resist the 8:1 ML on this one. (4) STEPPER is probably the filly to beat. Saez got a test drive in her last and now ships in for a easier spot. The distance will help this War Front out of an Empire Maker mare.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 1, 2 w/ 1, 2, 4, 5 Cost $ 18.00
Race 8:
(6) THERISASTORMBREWIN will likely use his speed to gain control of the front end. Saez does this well so the other five better stay tuned in to what’s going on up front. The question is..what will Rosario do on (4) LISTENTOYOURHEART? He too has some speed and may force the hand of the Storm. Both are good enough to engage and finish strong and I’ll use both BUT, I’ll try to pass them both with (1) BROOKLYN STRONG. The Derby changed him and he couldn’t recover. His return in early June was encouraging as he took money and came with a run to get 3rd. A new rider and being back on Big Sandy is a positive sign that he’s ready. We should get all of this 6:1 ML.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 1, 6 w/ 1, 4, 5, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
I like the two exiting the Balthus race back in May. That one returned to win facing winners next time out. (7) GREG’S HONOR gets Rosario, which it the positive, but the negative would be that the trainer has yet to win this meet. Their last chance is today. I prefer (8) DREAM OF A DAY. He’s familiar with Belmont with two 2nd place finishes late last year. One of those was a narrow loss with Davis up. They team up again and cut back to better distance for him. (1) WICK LOVES A FIGHT picks up Irad again, gets L1 and moves back to the turf. All positive signs at a generous 8:1 ML. (5) LONGEST DAY is a first timer with some powerful breeding for a colt going 8.5F on the turf. The only negative is that Clement debuts this guy in a MCL rather then a MSW.
