Race 3:
He's a little difficult to back with the short odds, but (6) JAKE ROCKS looks solid in this spot. I think his odds might go up from his 8:5 ML that he's been given though. Donk is 1 for 26 and Jake is 1 for 25 so most will try to beat him. He's been facing better animals and coming close every time. I'll use on top and look for (4) Copa to hang on or (1) One Whirl Wind Ride to come late.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
The presence of Irad is hard to ignore on the Atras runner (7) FAST BREAK but this guy has fallen off a cliff. They appear to be dressing him up in hopes of a claim. It feels like it's now or never to me. Nevin seems to have (5) THEREISASTORMBREWIN going in the right direct after the claim three back. Carmouche will likely let him use his speed to get control of the race and try to take them all the way. With a lack of speed from this group, there’s a good chance he can pull it off. It’s hard to back a 2 for 40 horse but I like what I see on (8) AMERICAN RULE. He hasn’t been lower than 22:1 all year, yet he shows up here at 7:2. That’s usually a toss but I am with Aragona on the odds. He’s been facing tougher and now continues to drop. What stands out today is his two bullet works leading up to this and gets the ultimate upgrade to Jose instead of Harkie.

Race 8:
(2) GOLDEN PLUME may have lost focus at the end of her last race settling for 5th. Brown gives go to rider a leg up and I’m expecting this gal is dialed in. Clement also has his go to guy up on (3) MESSIDOR as she responded well to L1 last time and just missed moving on past this level. It wasn’t the cleanest ride last time so if she avoids trouble, look out. She’s the horse to beat. (8) CONTAINED is the price we’ll use as she is an improving filly, picks up Manny and has Flintshire in her back pocket.

Race 9:
(5) GIRAMONTE ran well when facing MSW at the Spa this summer but the drop back to the 40k is a little puzzling. We’ll use defensively because if she’s right, she graduates today. I will lean on (3) MAJESTIC TIGER in this turf sprint. Both times he faced 40k runners, he was moving fast at the end coming up just short. Jose returns and Assmussen is on fire here. (9) SONIC SPEED finished ahead of Majestic last time when he moved back to the turf. Irad is a nice addition and they will be a handful through the lane. (6) DATA DEAL is a very interesting long shot. Davis opts for this one after showing speed against better last year. Makes his 2021 debut and drops in for a tag.
