Beautiful day in New York and we have an 11 race card at Belmont. We are going to look to spread out our plays today to try and cover as many races as we can. I will be locked into the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 6-8). Big Pete will have a couple of his "Plays of the Day" as well as taking down the late pick 3 (Races 9-11). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
Race 1:
(8) Hangar One has a bullet workout coming in and attracts Irad Ortiz; winning combo for me. (7) Profusion is going to be ridden aggressively from the break and Manny will be able to close strongly against this lower level field. (2) Litterbox will benefit from a fast pace and I like the post position for this closer. (3) Eucharist is going to try and wire the field and Kendrick is riding, which makes me confident this horse will get that aggressive ride.
$3.00 WPS 8 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,8 w/ 2,3,7,8 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,7 w/ 2,3,7,8 Cost: $6.00
Race 2:
(4) Rosebug has experience and ran a nice debut. We should expect some improvement in this one and this horse is a nice favorite in here. (1) Herington Rocket has some nice workouts coming in and Chad Brown on grass is dangerous, will include. (2) Radiant Gem is my top pick in here from David Donk. He gets his firsters ready to run first time out and a nice grass trainer. Irad should be aggressive from the favorable post position and run a big one first time out.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,2,4 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(3) ELECTRIC YOUTH drops to the right level and attracts Saez. The NW2L runners are tough to gage as neither of them like the finish line so facing and easier bunch today should make the difference for this filly.
I’ll use w/ (7) Suspended Campaign and (8) AmityIsland underneath
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 3, 7, 8 Cost $ 18.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
Both of the Brown runners figure to take most of the action in this G2 Miss Grillo I prefer the maiden (4) KINCHEN. She almost got there in her debut when she tried to close into a slow pace. There’s more speed in here for her to come and get.
(1) Sail By and (6) McKulick are the choice to fill in the exacta.
$ 10.00 Ex 4 w/ 1, 6 Cost $ 20.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 5:
(5) VINDICTIVE looks strong for Pletcher after posting back to back win s at the Spa. Either one of those efforts are fast enough against this bunch and he figures to be short odds. We’ll take the layup and try to juice up the exacta.
I like the “other” Pletcher (2) First Constitution and (6) Letmeno to pass the others for the exacta.
$ 10.00 Ex 5 w/ 2, 6 Cost $ 20.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 6:
(3) Mischevious Kissis another Mott/Alvarado 2-yr old that looks great exiting her debut. This horse has been training consistently well coming into this one and a logical play here. (6) Hype House has the aggressive Gaffalione aboard and I think that makes a big difference in here. This horse will be aggressively placed and be able to close strongly. (7) Longridge Fell is a firster with some pedigree and workouts that warrant an inclusion; I will take the bait. (8) Missy Greer is training lights out coming into this one and Saez will give this horse the best chance to win on the lead.
$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,6 w/ 3,6,7,8 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 7,8 w/ 3,6,7,8 Cost: $6.00
Race 7:
(3) Molino will be a decent price come post time and had a compromised race last time out. This horse will improve in this race and has the post position to save ground throughout. (5) Hilliard is going to be flying come stretch drive and I trust Irad to have his horse timed up to challenge for the wire first. (7) Albie closed strongly last time out, but was never involved in the race. I think with a better trip we will get a much better effort from this horse; Saez bump. (8) Landbiscuit had a similar race last time out and never was involved, but closed strongly. I think with a better trip from Jose Ortiz then we will have another horse shooting down the stretch.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 2,5,7,8 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 7,8 w/ 2,5,7,8 Cost: $6.00
Race 8:
(3) Jack Christopher is the real deal and I really like this horse to wire the field under Jose Ortiz. (2) My Prankster is another horse looking to hit the lead and run on. I think we need to include both in case it turns into a two horse race. (1) Wit could eat up ground quickly late if the two horses to his outside battle it out. This will be an exciting race that I think goes to (3) Jack Christopher; this horse is one to remember.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 1,2,3 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 9:
I like two but we’ll include (3) ARREST ME RED as a savor because Ward does well with turf sprinters and he attracts Irad. I like (5) THERAPIST cutting back to a sprint after a close finish in the West Point. He’s tackled open company before and has a strong kick that should be on display today. I landed on (9) CHEWING GUN as this one looks live to me. He likes Belmont, finishing 2nd in his last three attempts here. One of them was the G1 Jaipur. Exits a fast race and closed too wide.
$ 7.00 WPS 9 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 9 w/ 3, 5, 7, 9 Cost $ 18.00
Race 10:
(2) MAXFIELD will be odds on to take down this Woodward as he continues to show up every time out. A Re-Pete of the Whitney should be enough. (6) FORZA DI ORO got a taste of G1 company at the Spa last time and held his own. Jr likely will send him and try to hang on late. Saez and (3) ART COLLECTOR seem to be a good match. They are 2 for 2 together as Art as come back strong this summer and appears to be getting better. The 9F is perfect for this Bernardini and the 3:1ML feels like a gift.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 3, 6 w/ 1, 2, 3, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Race 11:
(11) HOT DOCTOR moves back to the turf for Rice who is off to a good start. Closed fast the last time he was on this Belmont turf and regular rider, Jose returns. (5) OUT OF THE BREECH tries sprinting again. If he can match his 5/22 run, that should be plenty to handle this bunch. I will take a shot with the Hennig gelding (7) BEAU BROWN. Hmoves back to the turf after two failed attempts on dirt. He’s bred to run on the lawn and Davis takes the mount. (3) MAJESTIC SKY also returns to sprinting. His best race was at 7F when here on 5/22. Now he cuts back a little more and is dangerous.
