We have our final Saturday of racing at Saratoga and the card does not disappoint. The weather appears to be cooperating this entire Labor Day weekend and the races should be exciting. We have a 4 stakes race day, which is headlined by the Grade: 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup S in the 11th. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 7-9). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 10-12); GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(2) MCKULICK Is the new shooter for this barn as this Frankel is finally hitting her stride. The G2 Flower Bowl only drew four aso she stands out here. We'll take the layup and use this filly in a couple of doubles
I’ll use (2) Cape Trafalgar with the speed and the closer (8) Ocean's Reserve ii the 4th.
$ 10.00 Double 2 w/ 2, 8 Cost $ 20.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 5:
Another short field and short favorite as the G2 Prioress only has a handful. (5) DAZLING BLUE has done only one thing wrong, ran with Maple Leaf Mel. There is noone in here that can give here her a run like the late Mel can. Several bullets in her holster as Cox continues to put out runners.
I’ll use (1) Jersey Pearl and (2) Unified Alliance underneath.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex 5 w/ 1, 2 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use (5) Dazling Blue in R5 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(3) Tom Collins, (5) Zverev or (10) Agate Road to win it in the 6th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 5 w/ 3, 5, 10 Cost $ 21.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 10:
Brown has two in here and I like them both. (8) INTERNAL CAPITAL has not yet live up to this barn but came off the vacation with a solid run last time at odds on. He probably needed that one and Castellano is on fire. His stable mate also came off a layoff to collect a small check in his return. Now they add L1 to the mix and Irad takes over. They mean business with (6) I'M VERY BUSY today. Taking Candy returned yesterday to run well to get 2nd against Carl, so this guy looks very live. (13) DRAKON drawing in from the AE's cannot be dismissed. He ran hard the whole way last time settle for 6th but only beaten by a length. Firm footing today should help as he is 50% 1st or 2nd in 10 tries on the grass. The old timer in this group is the 7yr old (10) SO HIGH. He exits three G1 this year and gets a breather today. He will get first jump on the closers and he'll get overlooked at the windows. A must use to steal it.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 6, 13 w/ 6, 8, 10, 13 Cost $ 18.00
Race 11:
The two favortes don't scare anyone in here as this group looks very competitive. Of the short prices, I prefer (4) RATTLE N ROLL over Proxy. He just missed the Stephen Foster last time but McPeak has only crossed the finish line twice this meet and I question the distance. I like the move to Irad on (5) CLAPTON today. The farther the better for this colt as he has picked it up in his last three and is working fast in the morning. (6) TYSON ships down from Canada and is bred to run all day. If he can handle the dirt, Franco will be right there close to home. I'll take a shot with Culrin colt (8) BRIGHT FUTURE. This guy appears to be heating up and the Pletcher barn is too. Throw in Castellano and you have a making of a minor upset. He seems to like the Spa treatment with an easy 9F win last time and didn't miss a beat in the morning workouts.
$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 8 w/ 4, 5, 6, 8 Cost $ 18.00
Race 12:
We'll finish the day with 40k maidens on the grass. (4) CAMCHA made it look easy when she started her career with a respectible 2nd place finish to a decent Orange Freeze. A similar effort today will make this Get Stormy filly very tough to beat. A must use for me. The Travers connections are well represented in here as (9) JAYLA might take over as the lone speed of this group. If Castellano can get to the hedge going into the first turn, they may prove tough to catch late. I liked (6) LEM ME DRINK switching over to the grass three back and on her ever since. I have to give her one last chance as she may have found the right field. Is a good sign that Davis sticks around as her last was her best yet. Hopefully this 5:1 ML holds as I'm all in.
