We are closing Travers weekend off with a nice packed 10 race card at Saratoga. We had a pretty good day at the track these past two days and will look to close strongly headed into the final weekend. I will be condensing my plays to only include the number, and look to take down the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will be locked in to taking down a couple of his "Plays of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
The (1/1A) entry gives you speed up front and a closer late. They are the danger as is (3) Abuse of Power fresh off the De Paz claim. But I can’t let (7) BUSTIN BULLET go off at 8:1ML after her eventful trip in her last. Bounced around in mid stretch and then idled home with no room to run the last 1/8 of a mile. Irad wants a do over and he gets his chance.
$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Exacta Box 1, 3, 7 Cost $ 18.00
We’ll also use (7) Bustin Bullet in R3 and try to cash a DAILY DOUBLE play.
We’ll use (1) Abundant Honor and (5) Sidekick in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Double 7 w/ 1, 5 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
Both favorites look the part and unfortunately, we need to include them. (4) WIT adapted well to the turf in the Hall of Fame and probably was a test run for this Better Talk Now to see if he could handle it. He gets an A- and looking to better that score. Brown has (7) NAPOLEONIC WAR and cuts him back to a more manageable 1M. He was up against it in the Belmont Derby but he fits well against these as most haven’t clear NW1X level. Both should be tough in here but I’ll use a savor, (1) LEGENDS CAN’T DIE as he may have the lead to himself now with a few scratches. Manny draws the rail and wins the race to the first turn. That should help save all the ground he’ll need to lull them to sleep.
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 4, 7 w/ 1, 4, 7, 9 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
(1) CE CE just looks a notch better than these. She won the Breeders Cup and is a 7F specialist. But yesterday a 1/9 got beat and that’s what the Spa does. Makes you earn it every time. We’ll use but try to sneak one in. I want to give (3) CARAMEL SWIRL a shot as She too is a Specialist at this distance. She won easy last year on this Spa dirt has been training steadily for this. With speed entered here, She will likely follow Cee Cee and try to wear her down close to home. (6) TRAVEL COLUMN has danced with some good ones throughout her career and is two for two sprinting. She will get first jump on the other two and maybe she doesn’t let them by.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 1, 3 w/ 1, 2, 3, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Race 10:
I know Rudy is in a funk, but I have to consider (11) MATT DOYLE on top. He gets L1 today after facing Early Voting, Life Is Great and Zandon to start his career. They move him to the turf and he is working well. The presence of Jose is worth a shot at 10:1ML. Two first time starts caught my eye as both (4) STEADY ON has Pletcher and Saez in his corner and (8) LUPO’S LEGACY is working fast, gets L1 for his debut and is out of a High Cotton mare and “Cotton” had some High speed on the turf. The savor is (9) UPPER LEVEL. He tried turf last time and liked it. The jock switch is strange but Gaff doesn’t hurt.
