We start yet another week of racing at the SPA and we are expecting some showers to start off the racing week. I will be condensing my plays to only include the number, and look to take down the early double (Races 2 & 3) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will be locked in to taking down a couple of his "Plays of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 4:
I narrowed this 35k claimer down to three runners with a shot. Two of them (5) Kemba and (6) I'm Buzzy look as if they will force the issue and go at it up front. For that reason, I landed on (7) FRENCH FRANC. She lacks speed which may help her today. She can stalk and come get them late when the others start to fade.

Race 8:
I'm only using two to start this late pick 3. (6) MIA BEA STAR has been in this condition for a long time which makes me hesitate here but she finally may have found the right field. Several close calls means she's trying but just not good enough. Today should be her day with this short and soft group. The main danger will come from (1) U GUYS ARE NO FUN. She probably didn't want to go that far last time so they shorten her up to 1M. Mia beat her soundly but the cutback will help narrow that gap.

Race 9:
(8) DAKOTA GOLD will be a single for most and I can't argue that. He looks faster and has been keeping good company. The only eye sore is the barn with only one win. It's the graveyard of favorites so we'll throw in the Brown gelding (5) MARINARA SAUCE as he's done nothing wrong in three starts and figures to keep improving . The 1M feels perfect so we'll take a shot with him.

Race 10:
(5) GO BIG GREEN ships in for Amoss. He was facing slightly better runners and holding his own and then closed well last time passing many. She's been training well up here with several bullets for this. (6) CAFE FLEUR is Brown and Irad but she is dropping. I'm not a fan when this outfit does this so I'll try to beat her but use defensively. (10) OCEAN AIR has several races that make her the horse to beat if she can show up today. I like the move to Saez and she has speed.
